American project of a multipurpose reconnaissance and attack helicopter. It is one of the most ambitious helicopter projects in the world. The main task of the helicopter was the reconnaissance of the highest priority targets. More than 6 billion was spent on development, but in 2004 the program was closed. The development of the Comanche helicopter has become one of the most expensive weapons programs ever phased out.
